GCARES Training Recommendations
Check the classes page for any scheduled classes.
    GCARES recommends the following courses to help achieve the goal of having trained responders. GCARES urges all members to complete  ARRL Amateur Radio Emergency Communication Courses (1, 2 and 3),and FEMA Independent Study courses (NIMS 700, NRP 800, ICS 100 & 200). For more information about the ARRL courses check these links.
  • Level 1 (EC-001)Registration usually opens on the first Monday of each month.
  • Level 2 (EC-002) Registration usually opens on the second Monday of each month
  • Level 3 (EC-003) Registration usually opens on the third Monday of each month..

GCARES encourages members to complete Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.  Check the local classes page for any scheduled training sessions.
